LIVER TROUBLE!!!
i dont know if alot of you remember me but i had talked alot in here some 4 months ago. then when i was 2 months post op i got extremely sick and was hospitalized with a liver infection. well, 2 weeks ago i was told that the tumors on my liver(i have 7) are a rare form of low grade cancer. they are called Epithlioid Hemangioendothelioma. i was told that they have been a part of me genetic makeup since birth and that usually around the age of 35 to 40 is when they start to give problems. but, mine were probably agravated when i had this infection in my liver. because of my age and that i am now healthy i pretty much only have 2 options open to me. one is having a liver resection, which is taking out the liver and taking off the tumors and hoping that there is enough of my liver left to put back in and have it regenerate itself. that doesnt look to promising consisdering the fact that these little bad asses keep growing every month. the second, is to have a liver transplant. sounds scary and it is. i really dont want to do that but, every other option i have isnt the 100% curable kind. i can do radiation, chemo, steroids...but, like i said i run the risk of it all coming back and then having full blown liver cancer and only having maybe 2 years to live. so...i thought lets weigh the options...TO LIVE OR NOT TO LIVE....that is the question. sorry, i want to live!!!!! i mean...here i am 6 months post op from gastric bypass, down 115 pounds, looking good, feeling good loving the fact that i can finally do all the things ive wanted to but couldnt or wouldnt. and im not finished doing all those things. i want to live until im 80 and still beable to say i had gastric bypass 50 years ago and i still look awesome!!!!! anywho, i was wondering if there was anyone out there who has had these problems or knows of someone who has. id like to get more info about all of this. i know gastric bypass saves our lives. in my case it has saved me in more ways than one, because, if i had never had the surgery or got sick from it i never would have found the cancer before it became a full blown cancer. now, i have the oppurtunity to cure myself all together and never worry about it again. i thank god and my surgery for that everyday. hugs and kisses and god bless to everyone. i would appreciate any help. thank you.

OK Your on my prayer list.
Now, from the sounds of your email your a fighter. You will beat this. As you beat the weight issue. When I had my surgery I ended up being in the OR alittle bit longer than expected because the Dr. found what he thought was cancer. I was lucky, fortunately the biopisys were negative. It did make me stop and think..And I feel now I can handle almost anything. Keep in touch and let us know how you make out but I think that with your positive attitude things will be good. good luck & god bless, pam
Kimmie!!
I am sooo sorry to hear you are going through this!
I hope it all works out for you and you come through this experience with flying colors. It just breaks my heart to pieces! It sounds as if you are in good spirits. Your courage is truly an inspiration!!! You hang in there you will beat this! I know your case is special, but I have heard that milk thistle is wonderful for your liver. Im not sure how much it would benefit, but anything that could help... Best wishes to you and tons of blessings!!!
We are here for you!
