Today is my birthday (and my sons and my sisters and my best friends!) I had one goal for this day and it was to fit into a size 16. I did it! I am losing weight slow but try not to get to worried about it. I received a dress in the mail that I ordered for our Marine Ball (military) for Nov. thinking that by then it would fit but I tried it on today and it fit perfectly, it was a true 16 not a 16w. :I feel great and even though I feel like I will never lose a pound again sometimes, I don't let myself believe it! We will all reach our goal, some of us will just have a longer ride along the way- we'de be happier if we could just learn to enjoy it. I wish you all a great day. Dawn

Happy Birthday!!!!! I am in a size 16 too but a friend talked me into buying a 14 the other day. I can wear it if I "suck up". Isn't it hard to believe that we have reached a goal we thought we never would and now will surpass it?????. How amazing.

Happy BIRTHDAY to you and yours! All those birthdays on one day sounds like the best excuse for a party I've ever heard! WOW, a mail-order dress actually FIT the first time! That's a SUPER accomplishment in itself! Nothing mail-order ever fits me you lucky duck! I've noticed (lurking as usual) that 16 seems to be the average that most Marchers are at right now. I'm sometimes a 16, sometimes a 14, and when there was a full moon last week the 14's were even a bit loose... As a military spouse myself, I can totally relate to the "ball" situation. Even though Navy ball's aren't nearly as "glitzy" as Marine Corps balls are, I too stressed out a few months back over what to wear. But suddenly I feel kind of silly considering that I had actual malls and major opportunity to SHOP and there you are in Telaviv mail-ordering your stuff. I am so thrilled that your dress fit upon arrival! I can't wait to see your post when the time comes for the ball and you've already had to have that dress altered down a little more...which I'd bet a check on happening. Oh, and we definitely need to see pictures! Congratulations to you. ENJOY yourself, be happy with who you are and remember that size 16 is just a pebble on the path to who you are physically becoming! I'm sure you have memories of what the Marine Corps Ball did to your head LAST YEAR at this time. Seems like they should sell you a cheaper ticket due to the fact that you are half of who you were the last time you went! I hope you had a fantastic birthday! Take Care, Kim 321/179/170
