Hello to everyone, and first thank you to all who sent me wishes and helped to kick me in the butt to see my Dr. I went on Friday and was able to get some answers. It is not any type of infection. I could only wish for something so easy. I had a hysterectomy without bladder repair in March of 1999, so needless to say the bladder has fallen, well with the drastic weight loss it has fallen more, and to complicate things a little more it has not only fallen, but folded in half, resulting in crimping things off as they should not be. Also the Uroligist that I was able to see right away on Friday noted that my bladder muscle seemed very weak and he reminded me of the importance of protein and to be doing those dreaded kegel exercises and that we who are having WLS should be made very aware of the immportance of those two things as it relates to drastic rapid weight loss and your urinary tract function. So ladies, protein, protein, protein, and do those exercises. I have been getting 90+ grams of protein a day, and will keep it up. I am sure as more people have WLS, we will find more medical reasons to be especailly mindful afterwards in caring for the great bodies we are acquiring. My treatment plan right now includes a collegen injection into the bladder in two weeks to see if that will help. Ultimately I could just leave things as is, but the feeling of having to go all the time is driving me nuts. If this does not work I will wait until plastic surgery and see if I can have a one shot deal to put the bladder back up where it needs to be. Take care, Janelle

Ouch! I wi**** had been an infection. That would have been much easier to fix! It sounds like you have motivation to get your TT without undue delay! I hope the collegen injection gives you relief. Joy

Dear Janelle: Thank you for the update. I was wondering how you were doing. I'm sorry that it is so complicated. I hope everything works out well for you. Thanks for the reminder about the pro and kegels. Louise

Thanks for the update. I've found myself "slowing down" and going less most of the day. Didn't really even think twice about it until I read your first post. Can you tell me what kegel exercises are? I was never told to do them but if it will help.... On the bright side... If a tummy tuck will help this problem, maybe your medical insurance will pay for it (or at least part of it?!?!) Something to look into since I know that surgery can be very expensive. Thanks for the info ~Janine

Janelle: I just got to this post, and I have a sneaking suspicion the same has happened to me. I too have a hard time going and its really embarassing. I also had a hysterectomy last March, I knew my bladder sustained some bruising at that time, which is very normal, but I am wondering now if it has fallen? Did you go to your primary care doctor about this first? I guess I need to make an appoint. Thanks for the update! Dawn -104lbs
