Whats my goal weight?
I am a little confused!!! I never really found out what my goal weight should be! I have lost 145 lbs already and i am doing really well I think!
I was 419 on starting weight. My surgery was March 30, 2004... just made it as a marcher! I am 5' 3" so,, if anyone can help it would be gretly appreciated.

You are doing terrific! Don't worry about it--just keep on doing what you are doing! Soon you will have lost half of you!
I'm 5'3" and now weigh 148. I'd like to lose another 15 lbs, but I will not stress about it. People are already telling me to stop losing, but I know I still have "excess padding". Besides, I just try to eat the right nutritional things--I'm not in charge of the losing! As long as I am healthy, I am happy. Now, if someone could tell me how to take off (and keep off) years, I would be interested in listening!

I'm 5'3" and I had surgery March 31, 2004. I've lost from 255 to 177.50 and I can wear a size 14. I think at 150 I may can wear a 10 , so that's what I'm shooting for. Nobody has said what I should weigh. At 56 I don't need to lose much more , I need to know what will make me look younger. You're doing great on your loss. Judy
Hi Kim;
First things first...you are so pretty. I think you are doing great!!!! Whenever I am in doubt I go to the weight loss planner that is offered here on this site. I just put in my weight (before surgery) my height and it gives me what my goal weight should be and it also shows me if I am on track with my weight loss. Everyone is different with their weight loss so it's just an estimate. Keep up the good work!!!!!

255/175/???
Kim,
My surgeon's goal weight for me was 160, been there done that, my personal goal weight was 130. According to the Met-life standards I should weigh about 115. But I'm afraid of looking like a stick figure with that little bit of meat hanging from these bones, so I gave myself a 15 pound pad.... When I get to 140 I may re-evaluate.
Here's a good body calculator to get a better idea of where you should be than those Met Life tables...

Wow -145 is incredible!!! Congratulations!
im 5'4 and I think the highest weight for me before "they" consider me overweight is 140. So its probably a couple pounds less than that for 5'3. I have been making mini goals for myself just to get me going. But ultimately I am striving for 128. I may never get there but its a goal. If not thats ok as long as I feel great and am healthy.
Best wishes!
