wow. well consider yourself lucky. heh. Seriously though I hadnt had mine before surgery for 3 months. Then I had surgery and got it (which normally happens to me after any surgery I have) then I skipped a month or so but NOW... ohh... NOW I get it every 2 WEEKS!!! Grrrr... Its horrible. I NEVER got it this much before. But it DEFINITELY screws up our cycle big time. My OBGYN said that our hormones are all screwed up because of the drop in weight and the surgery. I actually am getting the depo provera shot today in my arm so I am hoping that will make things more regular. I would definitely see your obgyn to make sure everything is alright I wish you the best! Elizabeth M

I'm a little confused. You mean that the last time this happened to you was when you had a different surgery? I had 2 periods immediately after surgery. The first was a week after surgery. The second was a month later....like clockwork. Then it stopped dead for 3-4 months or so. I started bleeding irregularly for 6-8 weeks and then the mother of all period**** I had to stay home from work because things were intense (felt like a miscarriage or bad labor) and very heavy. I won't post much more, but it was about as bad as a period could get. But it did the trick. I was cleaned out and finally stopped bleeding after that one. The one thing about this is not only have we had surgery, but we also are losing weight and going through hormonal changes. Our bodies release estrogen as we lose weight (as it is stored in fat) so it is bound to affect many of us. I wouldn't worry too awful much about it, but it would be wise to talk to your doctor about it just to be safe. You never know if something else is happening. Dina

Wow are our bodies different! I used to get mine and have it for about 3-4 weeks, then I'd have nothing for about 2-4 weeks and then get it again. Sometimes I would go 3 months without it as well. Pre-op I could not count on it at all. I would know I was getting it 'cause 3 days prior I would get diarrhea. Since surgery I've been like clockwork - about 32-35 days with the 1st day light - the second extremely heavy - the thrid light and then very light for another day. It's been an absolute breeze. For the first time in my life I know when it's coming ahead of time and I don't need to stay near a bathroom for the 1st week I do have it. mgm -84

I am also taking Cumbanin and was wondering if this just might be causing it to.

Sharon, I got mine the day after surgery. I was hoping it would be late or the surgery would cause a delay. No such luck. It showed up right on time as scheduled. Check with your doctor to be on the safe side. Thanks, Terri Almost 6 months out on 9/4
