weight is coming off, but pants size is stuck
Tanya,
I know how you feel, I was stuck on 18's for what seemed like forever then all of a sudden I skipped 16's straight to 14's and yesterday I got into a 12. Just remember, not all sizes fit the same it will vary by manufacturer. I can wear a 14 but my favorite shorts are 18, it just varies. Hang in there it will be here before you know it

Think that is bad? Well, I refused to go into the 30's for pants, (although I had a few pairs there) so I just had so many clothes that I couldn't wear. I'm still wearing things that I had in the beginning of this journey - although I realize most I couldn't fit into then. But the worst part was that I had my "skinny" pants from when I lost weight on Atkins (down to a whopping 265 at one point). I finally shrunk out of those and was thinking "YEAH! I shrunk out of my 24's!" Uh-huh. Not a chance! The jeans were 26's as well the the houndstooth pants I was wearing. Granted they are wayyyyyyyy too baggy on me now, but I was not happy about this discovery!
I am wearing a 2x pretty much (comfortably) and was able to squeeze into a size 20 last week where it didn't look too awful. But I still have a ways to go for that to be a size that really works for me.

Yeah, I thought 18's were forever. I find the sizes are not changing as fast as the poundage. But, I too have had one of those sudden "pops" where I'm well down into the 16's. But I dread staying in those like the 18's -- hope I don't. I sort of thought I'd be closer to my final size by now. I don't know why I thought this, I just found it hard to understand the time vs. pounds vs. sizes possibilities. So, sigh, I guess it's spring for really being at some kind of final size, or maybe late winter.
It's good to see that others are having this experiences. Some of the things I read made it seem easier, I'm not sure why.
