Hairloss
Still comming out like crazy!
It sucks. My doctor told me to try taking zinc and said biotin may help too! So I want to pick that up and give it a shot. Need to be getting more strict with the vitamins and protein...well i am usually good with the protein but ran out like 3 days ago and have had the smaller protein drinks and a few protein bars but nothing works like my isopure in a bottle thats 40grms a drink. I sure hope it slows down soon.
I dont want to loose all me hair!!!

Joy,
I hate to admit it, but I have not had any hairloss issues. Infact mine has gotten thicker. I have been faithful to my vitamins, calcium, biotin, and protein. Things I never worried about prior to surgery. I do have polycystic ovarian syndrome and have had male pattern balding years ago so maybe that has made the difference I was already thinner on top than most, but thankfully it hasnt gotten any worse. I was prepared for it as I have learned some great ways over the years to disguise the thin hair. One sure way is to color your hair, it adds bulk to your hair shaft. Also my hairdresser told me one of the best things to retain your hair is to give it a shampoo break. She suggested we go 4-5 days without washing it. I have been able to do that over the summer when we have been camping, I dont like the way it feels but it is good for your hair, and I notice better hair days after I do it. I understand it is hard to do when you are out in the work world, which I am not. Hope it slows down for you. A woman in my support group has it so bad people have noticed her hair loss more than her weightloss and that is depressing to her. Many have thought she was taking chemo. I am not exaggerating when I say she is litterly bald, she started to loose it at 3 months and is 9 months out and still no signs of recovery! YIKES!!! Best wishes, Janelle
Aagh, I hadn't been on the board so long I had to log in and then wrote a message which went away (my laptop browser does this some time). I'm losing hair, too and I have heard before about 4-6 months after surgery, so I'm not worried yet. If I keep losing after the 6-month mark, then I'll follow the special vitamin regimen, which yuck. I swallowed too much special medicine for all those complications post surgery to be open to it yet.
The main thing that bothers me is the frizzies, so I bought some product to put on my hair both after I wa**** and dry and it does help it look a little better. Anything targeted to frizzy or damaged hair will do, though I like Kiehl's since it's non-greasy and light.
