Howdy!!! the last thing I wanted to do when the clock went off at 4:30 a.m was to drag my lazy butt out of bed and head to the gym. I even lay there for a minute or two trying to justify NOT going before I got up and went anyway. 35 minutes on the treadmill at 3.2 mph on a 'cross country' course. I'm behind the eight ball in the office with things that were put off while I was working on a project, so I've got my work cut out for me catching up! Hugs, Mo

I hear you talking, Mo!! I've been extremely busy at work and it's been frigid outdoors lately. As a result, I've been slacking off on my exercise and not eating on a sane schedule. My clothing has been starting to feel uncomfortably snug also. This weekend, I hit the brakes hard!! I don't want to slide back to the old ways, so I've been back on the walking routine and trying to get my eating back on schedule. Wish me luck. I'm now about to grab the wife; the dog; the leash (for the dog, not the wife LOL) and the warm clothes and head off to "Pound the pavement" for a few fast miles! Cheers Mike

maureen...you are a warrior. a gym rat. ZENA! i read so much about all the wonderful fun you've had at the gym and decided to try one myself. of course i go to curves every morning 5 to 6 days a week and i at curves am zena warrior woman. the other women look at me enviously when i come in. i breeze through my workout without a sweat or even breathing heavy while they are soaked puffing away. i job in place in my zone thinking about all the things i need to do for the day. its where i do alot of my work planning while i am in auto pilot doing the circuit. when i finish changing after the workout i walk through dressed for work. i will admit right here and not say it again...they turn green with envy. im bad. i'm bad. i enjoy that for once in my life other women look up to me! i even get comments about how i look and how good it makes them feel to see what they can become. ok enough about how awesome i am and PLEASE do hear the sarcasum in there! so one of my customers is a "real" gym. they are doing a special right now and i thought well i'd try it. i'm ready for some harder work. what an eye opener. for one thing there are a TON of very young very hard bodies working the very BIG machines. was i intimaded? hell yea! that place was scarey at night when everyone is working out. I'm usualy there during the daytime to talk to my csutomer and get taken to a nice quiet office. music machines people groaning steam from all the sweat oh my god it was scarey! i saw my trainer and almost callapsed at his feet in fear. Tim gave me the basic lesson. it took over an hour i can hardly type this morning. i loved it. i'm going back. i've signed up for the year. i'm the one lookign enviously at everyone else. no one notices me or drools over me though there was this one nice young man who helped me off of this torcher machine when i couldl't get my leg up and over. hummm might have to do that more often! hahaha i think he was a boyscout. hahaha so you are my poster child for a gym. i read your postings and say WOW i dont' know if i can keep it up but i'm going to try!
