Thanks to Joy first for solving my problem on posting... FIRST the link to the pictures... http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=6&uid=2241293& ok now here we go/....enjoy! As many of you know this has been the most difficult year of my life. I found out on January 1 that my hubby of 13 years was gay..and needless to say..this has totally changed my life. Our divorce will be final in a month, we are doing ok...and our 2 young daughters are handling it as best as they can. My 5 year old is starting to emotionally come unglued with the idea that Daddy doesnt live here anymore..but I am doing my best to let her feel sad, and own her feelings but protect and love her all the way. Sooo in the meantime..I had surgery and like all of us..this has been life changing. I have lost around 75 pounds and feel great. I never thought I would be one to be 'on the market' though I shouldnt say that because I really am not. I am just interested in having fun and laughing with friends for now. Regardless...in the past week, I had 2 dates if you will. Lucky for me they are both named Mike! (and both strait men as far as I can tell..but who knows..my gaydar is obviously waaaay off) Mike #1 and I went to the absolutley gorgeous Acadia National Park here on the coast of Maine and hiked//well walked in this 2 mile forest to ocean trail where we enjoyed a wondeful picnic and bottle of wine..(though I didnt drink the wine...just a sip) IT was great..respite, ocean, no kids for a change, wonderful company...a great time. THEN on SATURDAY Mike #2 and I (along with his daughter) went out to a local lake and went tubing...YES ..TUBING>.like... put on a bathing suit, haul ones big butt over the back of the boat, gingerly positioning yourself on the tube without falling off..and then hanging for dear life while your "captain" revs the engine and drags you around the lake at extremely high rates of speed while you SCREAM out 7 months worth of pent up anger and frustration!! WHAT FUN!!!! I call it Tube Therapy...!! I didnt think I could or would do it when the time came..but after living thru this year..the good, the bad, and the ugly..I decided to LIVE life a little..and I am so glad I did... I still weigh 235 pounds but decided it didnt matter anymore. I put the stinking bathing suit on and off I went. Mike was great..we laughed and laughed about it all afternoon..even when I had to let go because he was 'whipping us' too fast over the 'wake'... then I bobbed along the lake looking like a downed pilot! I went on that tube 5 times that afternoon and have another 'gig' planned. The only analogy I can think of for my life this year up until now is: "After the rain comes a cool breeze"... and trust me this cool breeze on saturday was freeing and amazing! SO at the above link you will find my summer fun photos. One of each Mike for your viewing pleasure..haha... One of me at Acadia, sporting my new fancy clothes...I am kicking it up a notch...NEVER would have worn this shirt 6 months ago. and one of me and Mikes daughter on THE TUBE!!! My advice to everyone...lets LIVE our lives regardless of size and weight and shape and #'s...we are so blessed.. Enjoy! Kris

Dear Kris: Your happiness comes right through...keep enjoying. You will learn to help your little ones adjust. My 2 kids grew up in a fatherless household and they are both wonderful adults. I was a single Mom for 13 years - of course that was my choice, you may remarry sooner. Your pics look wonderful. Louise

Life has a way of balancing itself out. I am so sorry for the pain you have had to go through this month, but you are most definitely on the uphill swing. Looks like you had a wonderful time and noone deserves it more. Keep up the good work. I wonder if you could find a way to keep both Mikes! Marry one and hire the other as a gardener!!
