Crazy!!!

I feel like I am going crazy I have this terrible desire to eat all the time now at least for the last week or two, and in most cases I have not indulged just lately its been hard to ignore. I have been excercising 4days a week and losing until two weeks ago when this whole food issue began. I wish that I knew how to combat this issue. Because I am so afraid of gaining weight and letting this beat me! I wondered if I was going crazy I'm just beginning my fourth month and I feel great but the need to eat is overwhelming at times. I wonder if I am suffering from head hunger again or is it my body really needing the food or both. Is it that I am not getting enough protein or not eating enough food to begin with. I eat between 800-1000 calories a day. Any ideas? Lori 300/225/175

I drink protein shakes 3 times a day. They certainly curb my appetite. I have also heard that Relora from Puritan Pride is great for carb cravings. Hope this helps.

Up your calories. 800-1000 calories is a little low. I eat between 1100-1300 calories a day and I'm losing a 1/2 pound to a pound a day. Well I was on a plateau for about 3 weeks, but I had started with the Ortho patch and had a period for 3 weeks so I think thats why, but as soon as the period stopped I started losing again. If you are not eating enough calories then your body will hold onto any fat it has for enegry. I have read many posts all over the boards where people upped what they ate and started losing again! ~Nicole 216/144/whatever I get too

I agree with Nicole, you are not eating enough. You are exercising a lot, along with eating very few calories. Your body needs additional nutrients to let go of some more weight. Add in a few more high-protein snacks or shakes when you get hungry.

Be careful what you add. Make sure it is protein. Meat, cheese or protein shake. We have to start thinking like "normal" people. Hunger needs to be respected as an expressed need. Just make sure that you interpret it in a healthy way and eat quality food, not junk. Cravings for junk are not the same as a voiced need. For those, the pouch rule suggestion of drinking ALOT about 30 minutes before eating might help curb the cravings. I am finding my appetite returning too. Sometimes as healthy hunger, sometimes as cravings. If I stay away from the carbs, the cravings decrease. I just have to keep reminding myself that feeding the cravings will not only stop my losses, but will damage my health by robbing me of nutrients that I should be substituting. This is not easy. We have been tuning our bodies--now it is time to tune our minds! Joy -60 lbs

I also eat about 900 to 1200 calories a day. When I started to get my hunger back I made sure to eat the things that are high in protein. That seems to help. I seem to have regular meal times - breakfast, lunch, & dinner but I also have snacks that seem to be more like a meal considering the small amounts of what I can eat. So while breakfast is an egg with 1 slice of no fat cheese my snack might be a teaspoon of peanut butter or some yogurt or even a glass of milk. I'm able to eat fresh fruits & vegis too. When I check to see calories & protein they all equal out. I'm losing around 2 to 3 pounds a week. 73 gone so far. Only 2 weeks ago the hair fallout began. And I thought that I was going to escape that! Hey anyone have the hurting butt??? What is up with that???

hahahaha The hurting butt syndrome hahaha What happens is my butt cheeks hurt after sitting for alittle while like 15 minutes. I know losing that 74 pounds probably took away some of my "padding" but theres still agood amount left. Wondered if anyone else had this too.
