Reconstruction Question

Hi all - for those of you who have had reconstructive surgery (TT's, arms, boobs, etc.) are you noticing any slacking of skin or loss of elasticity? Although my weight is stable for the most part (lost that 5 lbs. gained in NYC already!), my tummy is no longer tight like it has been for the past 1.5 years since my TT and abdominoplasty. In fact, any time I gain 2-5 lbs., it goes right to my midriff. Anybody else dealing with this?

I had the lower body lift only. The ab muscles underneath are still tight!! and I mean tight (sometimes too tight) ...but...the skin is crepey and loose when I bend over or sit down...I know WTMI!! If I stand like a gymnast everything is still beautiful...any other position and sag city. It's seems the skin never reattached to the underlying tissue. 2 years since TT and 1 year 8 months since butt lift. Va

Yep, Va, this is precisely what's happening for me; tight muscles but no matter how many sit-ups and crunches I do, the skin is loose and sagy. So even though my weight is stabilized in the 140s, I look like I've gained - when I sit I even have that midriff tire! Bummer.

The tummy is still flat and you can still see the muscles, but I've had my new tummy less time than you have. What does get bigger are my thighs and butt. It's the darndest thing. I didn't have anything done to them, but they are horrific. C.
