How much can you eat at onetime?
Hello Marchers, A friend called me last night and was concerned over how much she is able to consume in one meal....she said she eats a 19.0z micro meal for lunch and has no problems keeping it down
I know I can eat more of softer foods about 5-6oz at a time but when it comes to protien I am very full with 4-5oz serving. I am able to eat a sandwich, 1-slice of meat and 1- slice of cheese and I am stuffed for a very long time!! How much are you all eating at one meal???

Great question- I was wondering myself. I don't have a measurment answer now but I might keep track.
There are times I really surprise myself. We went out Ruby Tuesdays recently and I ate a good size salad (yummy) maybe two cups then ate some sirlon tips.
I think the key is not drinking with meals. When I drink with meals I can eat double.
I'm looking forward to everyone answers.

I found that I could eat more than before. I am not keeping track of how many ounces but instead how many spoons of either rice/beans/soup/salad. Drinking for me...I never count how many ounces I just measure if I had the whole glass or half. I don't know I have never been a measurer. But I think that whatever I am doing it's working...plus my pouch is not letting me take a lot in anyway. I guess we are still in what the old posters call the "honeymoon period" where we will still lose regardless, but I am still being very careful with the choices I make and very importantly...working out!!!! I am down 67lbs and very happy about it. Whenever I am in doubt about my weight loss I always go to the weight loss planner and it just reassures me. There is a note at the bottom of the page where it will tell you not everyone's results are the same...but with me I am right on target. Let's see what next month will bring!!!!!

Mary,
I dont measure my foods, but I have continued to do the same things since my surgery; very small plate and eating from small silverware. It has really helped me and I dont plan to go back to full size anything. i have noticed in especially the past 2 weeks, but appitite is much stronger and the desire to eat. I cant really say I feel hunger pains, but I feel like I caould eat more. Thankfully I have only given in a few times, but I want to be diligent about not giving in too much or at all if possible. I always eat protein first and if I have a snack it is protein, and NEVER drink with my meals. The one thing I have changed since the first few months is the speed of which I eat. I use to eat very slowly as recommended to , but now I make sure I have my meal done in 15-20 minutes tops so that I am finiszhed and have told my brain I am done before my pouch starts to empty, so far it is working for me. I notice I feel much more satisfied if I do it that way and have less nagging hunger thoughts. I too like you can eat much more of softer things, and proteins much less. Hope this helps, I dont think we will ever find anyone just like us and be able to use all of one persons methods, but maybe gleanig alittle here and there form others will be our best formula. Have a great day, Janelle
Hey Marchers!!!
I can still only eat about 2 -3 ounces at a time. Any more than that and I'm going to have problems. I am the self declared QUEEN of Dumping...I can and have dumped on anything I put in my mouth. I don't eat taboo foods, only those my surgeon has approved, but I still dump. Protein is still about my only food product. I do eat some fruit, but of course only after I've had my protein. I eat maybe a bite or two of veggies. Salad makes my pouch ache. I can eat a fourth of a low fat sandwhich. I stil eat with a salad plate and tiny fork, and don't plan to change that.
I used to love cereal...however, TAZ does NOT like cereal...at all...period. Oh well...the price we pay for being lighter on our feet.
Happy thoughts,
Va

Hello...Well i'm very much that same way...The most that i have ate at one time that I even surprised and even scared myself was this time I went to carls Jr and was able to eat the Low-Carb Chicken Club Sandwich...I ate the whole thing I was sooo super stuffed after... about a week later I went back to Carls and and was only able to eat 1/2 of it...and about 2 hours later I ate the other half.
The 2nd time that I ate alot was at KFC i had the Rosted Chicken Strips meal.. I had the Green Beans and the Mashed Potatoes. I ate the whole thing! Kept it down good. Was good for a long time as well...

Just an idea that I do myself I drink about two 8 oz. glasses of water 30 min. prior to each meal and I am lucky to get 3 to 4 oz. of food down at any one time . If you go out to eat hurry and drink tha****er they bring you before they get your meal there . Let them fill the water up again cause you wont be able to eat and drink all tha****er because the water you just drank will fill you up. It has really worked for me. Sarah T
