Hi there! It's been so long since I've posted but I've kept up with your posts and it's so wonderful to see how well everyone is doing! I had a lengthy stall but weight loss is going well again. As of today, I've lost 84 lbs., which means I've lost 104 lbs. since I first saw my surgeon on December 29th! I am finally really beginning to see physical differences. Will send over updated photos in the next couple of weeks. My daughter told me this morning that I was beautiful! Unbelievable words! I had just finished getting ready for work and she stood there in amazement and said, "Mom, you're beautiful!" Yeah...like Sophie Tucker! But I'll take it, I'll take it! So I wanted to share a story with you. About 5 years ago, when my son was 5 years old, the 4 of us went used car shopping. There were a lot of people on the car lot and as we made our way to the vehicles, my son darted in front of me in his excitement to get to the big trucks. Well, I went down like a sack of potatoes. And couldn't get back up. Literally, could not get myself off the ground. I was so heavy, I had no ability to get up. My husband tried to lift me, then he tried to pull me. But I could not get off the ground. Everyone was staring at us. Finally, a couple of car dealers came over and helped Jim pull me up. I was mortified. Humiliated beyond words. I began sobbing uncontrolably and made my way back to our car while Jim and the kids browsed. That moment will never, ever leave me. Today, I am able to get down on the floor -- and back up again -- with ease. No struggle, no S.O.S. I get down there to do my Ab Roller and it feels wonderful. I just had to share this with you. Let's continue to celebrate our successes and blessings as we continue the journey together. God bless, and be well, everyone. Best, Maureen

Hi Maureen! Good to see you back. Can't wait to see an updated pic! I'm sure we've all had at least one bad experience when we were heavier, but man! It feels so good now to walk without getting winded, stoop down to pick up something without getting winded, even bend over to tie my shoes without getting winded!!! I love my new life! The active person I used to know and love has finally returned home. Hugs, -Marcie

Hi Maureen! Nice to see you again! Your daughter is such a sweetheart!!! Those embarrasing moments are rough! So sorry you had to go through that. I understand completely. Isn't it wonderful to know that we can do those things now? Its great...One thing I am especially thankful for is... being able to "take care of things" in the bathroom. I was so big it was very hard to reach some areas... although I DID reach them it was a struggle. Now everything is so much easier. Today I am going to start with my fitness director on a new toning and weight loss program at our gym here at work so I am excited that I am under the weight limit for the treadmills... Most treadmills only have a weight limit of 270. So I am so thankful of that. I wish you continued success and its nice to see you again Elizabeth M
