O.T. Prayers needed, again Please!!
Hi my Friends!! Az you know I moved to San Diego to help my Mom out. She is not doing very well at all. She had a bad reaction to medication, but, I also think she might have phenemonia? (spelling)We were at the Doc's office yesterday & she goes again tomorrow, but, I am extremely worried about her
& she won't go to the hospital. I am hoping the Doc does not give her an option tomorrow. She is getting dehydrated & not
very much food for the past 48 hours. I need your prayers for
her strength to come back & mine to get me through this without eating the house out of everything that is here.
I started work today at the Pharmacy where she works & left early to check on her. Not good when I got here. I am scared,
frustrated & trying not to panic. Thanks for letting me vent
here, that does help
Love You

Hi Marilyn,
I know exactly where you are coming from. There is ONE tried and true way to get her help without her fussing. Call 911. Seriously. If you get up in the middle of the night or check on her and she is gasping, tell her you have called 911. Let her get mad. Tough. They will take her to the hospital and they will tell her if she needs to stay and keep her or at least convince her, if she needs to. I have had to do this with my mother. It has worked with her and my mother-in-law.
You know what they say about teenagers and old folks.....you can't tell 'em anything!! Be strong and use your best judgement. It may save her and your sanity!
Good Luck!
Karen
ACtually She is NOT o.k. She is in the hospital. I called 911
after all this a.m. Could not get her to the car by myself.
She had Temp of 103, plus dehydration (which I kinda knew)
plus the beginning stage of her kidneys shutting down. So the
bottom line is they are keeping her at the hospital to find
out what is causing all of this it is possibly phenmonia it
will be a few hours before they get test results back. Thanks
for the prayers for her & me to keep it together!!
Love you all

She is somewhat better today. They have pumped fluids in hersince yesterday & will probably come home tomorrow. She wants to come home tonight, but, is very disoriented The Doc
will not release her, yet. They tell me this happens with older people when they have been dehydrated like she was. She
is Mad & was yelling on the phone to me, but, I will get over it. I am not bringing her home till her Doc says it's o.k.
Her temp is back down to normal & her heartbeat has stabalized
So all-in=all a lot better than yesterday Morning.
Thanks for the prayers & I am hanging in there as well!! Better now that I know she will be O.k. I moved here to help
her out, was not ready for this quite so quickly.
