Good morning Thursday!
Hi gang
I'll take time to say a quick good morning before my day takes off here. I've got two regular monthly meetings going on today that I have to coordinate. One from 10 to 12 the other from 1:15 to 3 p.m. So that pretty much covers my day.
I did 45 minutes of cardio on the bike last night at the gym. I did a 'variated' interval course at level 4. It's been so crowded at the gym (last night I had to park across the road in the lot at AACC because there wasn't a spot for big blue in the lot at Big V) that I just grabbed a bike and did my whole time there instead of trying to split it up with the treadmill.
I did two rounds on the circuit at 5 a.m. this morning. I am definitely getting better at setting the equipment in the 15 seconds so I get my whole 45 seconds on each piece. I REALLY was tempted to do a 3rd round, but I really don't have time for that if I am going to get home and be on schedule. I may try that the next time I am tempted though. Even if it is just a few of the machines.
I threw my bag in the truck with my gym stuff in case I want to stop tonight. Not sure If I will or not, but at least I am prepared. I was tempted last night to just go home when I saw the parking situation, but realized that was the wimpy way out.
I stayed away from the 'picking' pretty well yesterday. I did have a few (maybe 3 or 4) Hershey kisses but that was it, except for my planned snacks and my sunflower seeds.
Ok, time to get into it here. Have a great day. I'll check back later.
Hugs, Mo
I'm fighting the 'frustration' factor right now that I have been doing this consistently for 4 to 5 weeks and I don't 'see' any difference. Of course, I have no idea of body fat change .. but my clothes are the same and the scale hasn't moved. I am back in that 'instant' gratification mode that I want to see results NOW!!!!
I've only been doing the strength training for about 2-3 weeks consistently and I have been increasing the weight and I can feel it in my muscles. I am not sore but I definitely can feel that I have been working with weights.
I have never had a problem with energy (needing B-12 shots, etc), but I do really feel more energized since I've been going to the gym. Almost makes me wish I had done this when the doc told me to .. 2 1/2 years ago

wow you've got a g;reat workout going.
i've been bored with my curves and when the membership ends this summer plan on joining a gym. we have several in the area all who will give you a free week to try them. so my plan is to make that circute! hahaha with luck i could get almost 2 months working out at the different places for free! maybe if i work it right i can get another extra week just to be sure which is the right one!
now it doesn't bother me to go into a gym where there are men and women workign out. before i woudn't have been caught dead in one of those. i still am alittle freaked out by dressing rooms without nice neat little closets for me to change in. this changing like high school in the open with all the other ladies intimates me. not that i expect them to be stareing at me just don't want the reminder of how wrinkly my excess skin is! why do they put those BIG mirrors everywhere in the changing room?????
Hi Pammy,
I can understand your reluctance about a men/women's gym type place, but I have found that it doesn't freak me out so much because I'm 'average'. My body is no better/no worse than the majority of the gym goers (and believe me .. some of the men are REAL sights .. lmao .. both good AND bad .. ). My gym is a very family oriented place and they have activities for the whole family. I am finding in the late afternoon/evening when I go there are a lot of HS students who must be getting ready for spring sports. When I go to do the circuit at 5 a.m there is a father/daughter (HS looking age) combo who is there lifting free weights together at the same time.
It's a good idea to go check out various places so you can see where you will be comfy. Big Vanilla is about 2 miles from home and I am a creature of convenience, so I was glad I liked it, because anything out of the way, I would not be so inclined to go.
