Incision Opening - Sutures Coming Out

Hey, ya'll! My incision was closed up all nice and fine and about 6 weeks later part of it opened up. This past week another spot opened up. Five sutures have come out between the 2 openings. Both are still open and I'm 14 1/2 weeks out. Anyone else experiencing this? CP 309/247/150

What did your surgeon say and what is he/she doing about it? Please let us know, and hope you are OK. Louise

My sister had her incision open up again as well, she had to take it easy for awhile again, the doc gave her some new instructions and it healed up the only thing is that at that spot the incision is obviously wider, but tha's it! Call your doc and have them look at it! Best of luck!

Holy cow - this is just odd! I don't know what to tell you but I'm glad you've been in contact with your doc. I can't imagine opening up this far out myself....everything seems so healed up for me. Wow! I hope it resolves quickly for you! Dina

So... I called the doctor's office and they said it was fine. The sutures are being seen as foreign bodies and my body is forcing them out. One more suture came out last night. I'm thinking I may need to invest in some Johnson & Johnson stock to recoupe some of the money I've been spending on gauze and tape. ;) Other than that, everything is fine. CP 309/247.5/150

Surprize! My incisions had closed up as of 6/26 and last night they both came back open. A 7th suture has emerged! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! CP
