I checked this book out of the library and it was really interesting. I think I am going to give it a whirl. I liked the forms I am kind of a list type person I like that it lays it all out there for me! LOL One of the inspirational stories was froma woman who had gastric bypass so that made me feel a bit better about it. I know one of my "growing" plans is to take back control of my body I feel it has gotten away from me and my depression is spiralling downward and I need to just grab hold of life again instead of watching it! SO....HERE goes! I know it will be a bumpy ride but I am ready for the challenge! Karen's post gave me some courage and a muc hneeded kick in the BUTT! See we all still need support from accountable partners in your struggle. Some of you here are food addicts others struggle with other addictions but we all still need that support because only WE know where WE have been and that fear that will I think always be there! Thank you! Nic

Hi Nic, sweetheart! Good for you! The only time we're down for the count is when we're 6' under - until then, there's always hope...and a second wind! I wanted to tell you, my husband did this program last year and it's the best he's ever felt in his life. He swears by it. Unfortunately, just like anything else, when you let it go, you let yourself go with it. Jim wants to get back to the Body for Life program and this time I think I'll join him. There's a BFL specifically for women as well. GOOD LUCK AND GO GANGBUSTERS! You've got the spirit and the *****stay close to us on this! Reenie

Nic, I'm doing the Discovery Channel challenge. It comes with a free 8 week membership to Bally's Fitness and I'm actually looking forward to it. You can register online at DiscoveryHealth.com and they'll walk you through it. I don't think that any of the diet plans will work because they don't seem to pack enough protein, but I think the exercise part will kick my butt back into shape. They have a great journal that you can print out and use to track your progress. I figure I can hang in there for anything if it's only 8 weeks. Connie

Connie I did the Discoveryhealth thing 2 years ago and really liked Bally's my membership just ended. in fact I got REALLY into working out, so into it my kids were at school with me from 7-3:30 then were at the gym with me from 4-6 cause you can only have 2 hours of child care a day, then I would rush them home feed them, bath them and put them to bed. My husband was working 2nd shift or traveling gone 2 weeks home a week. NOT really the way to actually raise children! so I stopped going like that. that was the only way I got to 161 pounds 2 hours of working out a day... BUT i totally liked the gym and staff and everything! GOOD LUCK TO YA!!!!! nic
