I AM SOOO Frustrated!! I know eat more protein get more water exercize......I'm trying dang it! But 3 weeks!? Before WLS I was never sucessful w/Atkins...what made me drop 30 lbs before this was just a reduced cal diet (actually mostly carbs!) and exercise...I'm thinking that maybe no carbs is working against me...does anyone think that's possible?! Sorry to vent but thanks in advance for any input!? PS were's everyone at latley~out enjoying there wt loss!?

Hi Alicia -- I'm there with you on this. I had my first plateau at 2 weeks out and it lasted 2 weeks...and now I have this 3 week one going on. Driving me nuts! I've lost 45 pounds total -- its so darn frustrating to lose and lag and lose and lag...and what I'm losing in between is not hue amounts. Most of my loss was in the first 2 weeks! I lament with you Lissa

Alicia, I so feel your pain. I've had two plateaus that lasted a couple of weeks each. It's so frustrating. I just keep reminding myself that there's just no way I can not lose weight with as little as I can eat now. Sooner or later it has to start dropping again. Hang in there. Connie

I am going on my 3rd week!!!!! I'm still weighing in at 210... I haad posted a message about a week or two ago stating my frustration.... I was a lil constipated they told me to take Phillips Milk of Magnesia... I did... I did the deed...I feel light again but the scale still says 210 I'm so sad!! I've been going to the gym doing cardio... I've even signed up with a personal trainer and paid $500.00 I'm really desesperate to loose the weight... I know I didn't put it in over night but the surgery... is it ok...

If you'd like, you can post waht you typically eat in a day and we can see if there are suggestions. Others have done this and were able to break the plateau by changing what they ate. Connie

There are good carbs and bad carbs..the good carbs are fresh fruit and veggies. You may need to add some carbs to your diet to kinda "tweak" your metabolism. also try 2-3 servings of a calcium rich food daily.
