Rob Update for Thursday

Hello everyone, Kat here with the Thursday Rob update. Just spoke with Mom (Dorothy) who saw him this morning. They attempted to wean him off the ventilator but he is still too groggy. They only have him on a little morphine right now. He has to be conscious enough to cough when they ask him to, etc. before they can remove the tube. So now we are calling him Slow-Poke and Sleepyhead. The pulmonary specialist said this was just the first attempt, and he has been drugged for a long time, so this is not unusual that it didn't work yet. They will keep trying to wean him from now on. Mom also reported that he has good "definition" meaning he is still losing fluid. She reported that she could actually see ankles today! Mom spoke to Rob's family doctor last night and he said the return of kidney function was a most excellent sign and for us to be patient - Rob is on his way back! It feels good to have something positive to say so now I'll turn into a chatterbox. Kat

Thank you Kat, Yipppeeee, our prayers are being answered. Pretty soon Sleepyhead will be awake and talking so much we won't be able to keep him quiet, WOWSERS that will be the day we will all Praise and Thank God. Keep the Good News coming, it sure brightens my day. Betty

Yay Rob!! He's been on my prayer list, as well as on my entire church's prayer list... we will continue to pray for him!!

Chatter away if you'd like - the good news is what we've all been waiting, hoping, and praying for. I've continued the 6pm prayer and extra walk for him, and will continue until he is back with us. Prayin for you and the family as well! mgm
