Okay, so much for my fancy scale I got at Sharper Image. I can only get the *(&*$%_#$ thing to work about 1/5 of the time. While it's been good for my head not to weigh too often, I now need to check it out a) just to know because I wanna know and b) to make sure I don't need to up my protein and exercise and that I'm getting results. I'd love any recs, especially if you can include where I can buy it online. If not online, would you mind telling me which store if a mass market store? Thanks, Gano 3/2 -35 that I know of

Gano, I bought a Tanita BMI scale off of E-Bay, from this vendor. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11781&item=4164188409&rd=1 The scale has been a big help in monitoring my fat to lean ratio. It was a tad pricey but worth it. This vendor does sell them cheaper than you can buy them direct from Tanita or any of their other distributors. Va

I don't have a recommendation, but I feel your scale woes. Yesterday morning I woke up and weighed 241. 2 hours later I had urinated twice, had a bowel movement and had not had anything to eat or drink. I defied all laws of physics by gaining 4 pounds. Let us know what you decide on because I'm in the market also. Connie

Hey you guys, I found an excellent professional grade scale at Sam's Club. It goes up to 390 lbs and has been very consistant. The best part was it was only 39.00. All the other scales I looked at only went up to 330, sadly not enough at the time ;). Rachel -55

I use a Healthometer doctor's scale (it's smaller than those big one's though). I like it because you can easily keep it calibrated so you really KNOW what you weigh: http://www.nextag.com/HEALTH_O_METER_AMAZON~57359116z0znzzz1zzhealthometer_scalezmainz2-htm

I got a Weigh****chers scale - I like it because its digital, easy to read, and goes up to 380 lbs - when I started out it was about the only scale that could work for me. I know you can get them on line - I got mine from an electronics superstore. (FRYS) -Sherrie

I got a Tanita digital scale that goes up to 440 lbs.... it is right on with my doc's scales, and is always accurate. I paid $68 on ebay for it. It also has a memory for up to five different people and you can see the amount you weighed the last time you got on it, so you can keep up with how much you've lost from the last time you weighed.
