Where were you and where are you at now?
Hi Teri,
My surgery was March 3rd and I was at 334 at the time. I lost 20 pounds the very first week and that put my body in shock! Ended up in the hospital with dehydration and high blood pressure and extreme fatigue. Welp since then its been 25 more one less since yesterday! So my total weight loss is at -45 pounds!
I have been yo-yoing from 290 to 292 for about a week and a half. So I think I may finally be breaking through that!
THANK GOODNESS!
Best Wishes!
Elizabeth M
-45 lbs

Where I was:
I was wearing a tight 32 pants...was weighing in at 392 and was having horrible knee pain every single day.
Where I am know:
I wear a snug 26 jeans
I skipped 28's cuz I just didn't have any!! I weigh in at 345 and haven't had a single day with knee pain since the surgery.
I find the absence of knee pain very odd...I'm thinking maybe it was more diet than the "tracking" problem that my doctor suspected because I know I'm still putting a hell of a lot of pressure on my knee joints.
I FEEL AWESOME!!!! Even if I do heave at least once a day -- I don't care and I don't mind!

216 home from hosptial, and an 18-20 in clothes, I am 172 pounds(have been this for 3 weeks now!!!!!) and I am in a 14-tight 12) My goal now is not weight, I want to be able to fit into a size 6! I talked to the nurse at my surgeons office today(she is so wonderful) and she said my stall is from me not eating and working out. so I'm burning calories and not eating enough so I have to make sure that I eat!!! I am getting in my 80 grams of protein!! so I'm happy about that and getting in more than my quota of water, also happy about that. I am 28 pounds from my surgeons goal of 144 and 52 pounds from my personal goal of 120. I need to lose 4 pounds a week to be at my goal by July 4th, but unless my weight loss starts back up again, It's not gonna happen!!

I started at 266, I had surgery 3/9, and this morning I was 231.
I feel like it's not enough. My clothes are looser (ok, in some pants it looks like I need to have my diaper changed) but for the most part, I'm still wearing the same things. I guess they must have been tighter than I thought to begin with. Now I'm wishing I'd have a real big loss spurt so that I can get the smallest clothes that will fit now and maybe last till the fall.
I wish there was more of a concensus about what the average loss is/should be. And I feel like I'm in competition with everybody who had the surgery.. my post-op (1 yr & 2 yr) friends all compare my loss to theirs, when they were ___ weeks out, and somehow I always seem to be losing less than them. I'm taking it with a grain of salt because I don't think either of them were such great record-keepers, but still.. I don't want to hear that I'm not taking full advantage of this opportunity, that I could be losing more than I am. I honestly don't know.
