Hey, MGM!! Yup, I'm around, just not as much. I went back to work and am "time challenged" once again! There's GOT to be a way I can walk my treadmill and watch Fox Cable News all day and make a living out of it: this working outside of my home is interfering with my life!! I'm doing GREAT!! As of 3? weeks ago (I don't weigh 'cept at Dr's office...) I'd lost 35 pounds. I measured myself the night before and had lost 27 inches then, but KNOW I've lost more. I'm thinkin' my surgeon did bone implants in my back 'cuz I can feel bones back there now where there haven't been any in years! You can actually see muscle definition in my back, arms, legs, and other places: it was inevitable, as I have my precious Dad's musculature, and my "excess muscle weight" accounts for ~35-45 pounds of my excess weight (which is what got me approved for my RNY...hey, works for me!). I've lost at least 3 chins, and only have around 75 or so to go! I've dropped 3 sizes so far, and am scrambling for clothes to wear to work: I'm supposed to be a "slow loser" per ALL doctors, but it sure doesn't show! BEST and MOST IMPORTANT PART - the reasons I HAD the surgery have been accomplished!! My fibromyalgia is so totally in check, it's hard to believe I still have it (I'lll have it 'til the day I die). I've been fibro-pain free since surgery. THAT was such an IMMENSE answer to prayer. AND...the RNY did INDEED correct the metabolic/endocrine problems they said it would: my triglycerides, which started off at 733, are down to 179 ("borderline high normal") and my cholesterols which started off at 277 are down to 136 ("normal") at FOUR WEEKS OUT!! The AWFUL meds they had me on for 6 months didn't TOUCH them, but only 4 weeks after my surgery, my cholesterols are NORMAL!!! I can't give God enough praise in this!! Marla, I feel healthier than I have felt in at LEAST 15 years. I'm just awed by it. My first goal wasn't 'weight loss', but it was to correct the two medical problems, and they're corrected! Just knowing I'm not a stroke waiting to happen is such peace of mind...this has truly changed my life. I'm so glad you're doing so well, too. Aren't we just so blessed?!! Keep it up, Marla...we're only going to get BETTER from here!! Kimmer Queen of the Niners, Instigator to All Marchers, High Priestess of Giggles
