Didn't get to go to the coast...

I am just too stinking weak right now. We were supposed to go to the coast yesterday but in addition to my weakness, my son is sneezing and snotty. I'm thinking allergies, but who knows. All I do know is I had to go to work for some paperwork and it was all I could do to walk up to the door. I was soooooooo weak. Man - that 6 week slump really hit me hard. I hope it gets better soon. I go back to work in a week and half. I would hate to think I couldn't last through a 10 hour shift! Dina

I'm right there with you...I'm fine during the day but seems like as soon as I eat dinner I want to go to bed. I've been getting 8-10 hours a night and boy do I need it! Lissa

Sarah, your pattern sounds very familiar to me. I just can't get a good night sleep. It's not that I'm uncomfortable, in fact, I more comfortable physically than I've been in years. I just can't STAY asleep. I nod off for 1 or 2 hours, than I wake up and can't get back to sleep for the next 2 hours. Most days I'm walking around like a zombie, I'm so tired. Today, I nearly fell asleep at the wheel. Is this going on for anyone else? I even went out and bought a new bed today at a very hefty price tag, which we cannot afford right now, thinking that will help!! Any thoughts??

Hi Dina: I'm sorry you are so weak and I thought i would give you some ideas since you helped me with the protein drinks and I am hoping your ideas will help me keep my hair. I think you may have been in ketosis for too long. After reading your posts, about bad breath and the cause, I called my surgeons office and they want me to eat a more balanced diet, of course with the emphasis on getting proteins in first. Carbohydrates are important in a well balanced diet and they are certainly important for energy. I have lots of energy. I have totally recovered, and I eat a balanced diet. I do not feel as though I had surgery. So perhaps you'll speak to your surgeon and see if you should be having a more balanced diet. I hope you feel better and good luck. Louise -25

Thanks Louise - but I do eat a balanced diet. In fact, I've actually been having half sandwiches with whole wheat bread and lots of veggies. I think this is just the 6 week slump I've heard so much about. I was fine through last week then this last week or so it ha**** me hard. I did do Atkins for years and was in ketosis for very long periods of time and never had a problem with energy. I think this is just a calorie thing. Dina
