Scallops

OMG, I had scallops for dinner, the first one tasted o.k. then the next one tasted very, very metalic, so had to take a bite of a different one, I thought I had eaten a tin can, metalic taste like I never in my wildest imagination could think of a taste like that. Told my DH to stop eating them, they were no good, he's like what are you talking about these are some of the best scallops we've had. The foster son had some too, he loved them, so it was just me. Has this happened to anyone else, where their taste buds just went berzerk? I thought maybe the surgeon made a wrong move with his knife yeilding hand and turned me into a goat and I was eating the hood of my car Man, I don't think I'll look another scallop in the eye for a long long time,Yucky Yuck! Hey, Judgetress! I was "so-so" with scallops pre-op. But I'm eating 'em by the ocean full post-op. Found a GREAT way to sear 'em 'n season 'em. AND I 'mince' 'em down before I cook 'em, so they're in itty bitty pieces, 'n they just melt "like budda" in my mouth, VERY little chewing needed. But nope, I've never had that metallic thing. And I'm hoping I DON'T. I'm having a difficult 'nuff time finding stuff that I can get down as it is, 'n if I lose the scallops, I'm gonna be in BIG trubble. I made some today 'n they didn't 'agree' with me 'cuz I'm having a hard-time-eating day, so my MO basset hound got herself a treat...brat. Dog cookies are cheaper... I'll have to try scallops sometime when we go out. I don't risk trying to fix any kind of seafood on my own . lol .. We are going to a shrimp feast on Sunday .. that should be a trip .. the dang tickets are $35/person .. and we know how much I will be able to eat and of course drink nothing !!! Hugs, Mo
