Tasty Drink: Shake Alternative

I discovered by messing around a little and really find it very tasty: 1/2 C. (or 4 oz.) chocolate LF Carb Countdown milk 1/2 C. (or 4 oz.) 1% milk 1 scoop Beneprotein Stir thoroughly and enjoy. 20 g. protein Tastes like a chocolate milkshake instead of a protein shake (which I can't even gag down any more!) Where can you buy the Beneprotein - and is it flavored? I love my CIB still, but every now and then I like to feel like I'm cheating, so this might work for me!! Hope you're feeling better today. Today is my one month surgery anniversary and my DH forgot to leave the scale w/ me this morning (remember - he confiscated it so I wouldn't get violent!), so I can't weigh. I started taking some of my measurements this a.m.. Looks like I've lost 1/2" - 1" all over. DH will help me w/ the official measurements tonight and I'll report back (along w/ the weigh-in) sometime tomorrow. Wish me luck!! -Wendy

Good luck in spades to you, Wendy! Yes, I'm feeling better today, mostly because of the support I continue to receive from people like you. Thank you. Beneprotein is supposed to be tasteless but there is a faint, sort of odd taste to it. Not noticeable in milk, though. 1 scoop adds 7 g. of protein to anything you put it in. I bought it from a health store in CT, they shipped it to me. I'll look up the name and number if you're interested. Take care and best of luck tomorrow! Maureen

Hey, Wendy!! The only place I can find Beneprotein is thru Walgreen's website - walgreens.com (with the three 'w's in front of it...since we can't put links on any OH messages...). It's $10.99 per canister, and a canister lasts quite a while, especially since I'm taking in 'real' protein now (meats, etc)...or at least TRYING to (still have that 'stuck hairball' problem most of the time, 'n it's getting old!). When you order it, there's no shipping/handling, it's delivered to your door 2 days from the day you order it. I don't get ANY taste or odor from it...and I'm usually VERY picky when it comes to stuff like that. But my nutritionist MADE ME PROMISE to try it, and I'm glad she did...several Marchers have gone the Beneprotein way now. Hope that helps!
