Prior to my gtube coming out, I had pain when I would try to get up and get down into a chair. When they removed the gtube it did not hurt any more than that. They told me to take a deep breath and keep breathing deeply while it came out. It was a minor pain to what I thought it would be but I did take pain meds before I went to the doctor to make sure I was covered. The relief was getting the gtube out completely. I had no pain after that.

I had pain when mine came out but it only lasted a few minutes and mine was taken out at the hospital.

The nurse took mine out. She told me to take a deep breath and breathe slowly while she pulled it out. I was prepared for the WORST, but I didn't even feel it! I was so surprised.

I took my pain meds before my dr. appt, but still felt some pain, only for a minute or two tho. I kept holding the area and he said move your hand, I said...owwww for about 10 seconds, then it was done! He said, its more of burning sensation your feeling, not pain, because the stomach was still leaking into the wound. He packed it up with what looked like a pad and some tape, then I felt so free! The pain must have left my mind because on the way home I stopped at Walmart and shopped for an hour! Good luck...one last step, Wendy
