YEAH I CAN EAT! Energy Question?
For six weeks I have been nauseous, dehydrated, and anemic since the surgery
HOWEVER, I think I may have turned a corner. I've kept three meals a day down for THREE DAYS- NO VOMITING!!!!
I'm not nauseous all the time and when I am I have a saltine or nauseous meds. It really helps. I also found Eddy's popsicles. I HATE the taste to artificial sweeteners- Eddys is sweeten with fruit juice. YUMMY and helping with dehydration.
Yesterday I had Einstein's Bagel Reuben! WOW - I didn't eat the bagel but enjoyed the lean pastrami and cheese that they say is 25 grams of protein.
This morning I had a few ounces of fresh fruit (cantaloupe, honey dew and grapes) for breakfast with cheese.
I still have a problem telling when I'm full so I try to stop at 4 ounces. Does this sound right for someone 6 weeks out?
I've been 212 for three days but I'm content. It makes sense the loss is slowing a bit as I'm finally getting something in my system.
Energy is still my big concern. When I walk from my office to the kitchen (maybe 50 feet) I have to sit down and rest. Seems like I should do better by now.
Should someone 6 weeks out be able to walk enough to go grocery shopping without being worn out? CORRECTION- Make that 2 weeks out (I was laid up a month with pancretius). Maybe my expectations are too high
Thanks,
Robin

I'm so glad you are getting better! I'm sure the setbacks you had are making your energy recovery slower. If you can continue eating well, that will make a big difference. Walk as much as you can--that will also help build up your endurance.
I think you are right. It sounds like you have turned a corner and are now on the right track. Even with all the problems, you will look back and be so glad you did this.
