Hi All: I am almost 4 weeks post op. I have not been eating meat as it goes down hard, but last night I tried something different. Mostly I have been eating fish and shrimp but I had some boneless loin chops in the freezer that I wanted to use. So I browned them in a little olive oil and garlic and after they were browned I added 1 can of chopped tomatoes. I let them cook for 1 hour and 15 min. and they turned out perfect. The meat was very tender and delicious. I had that with 6 fresh green beans, steamed, and about 1/3 of a sweet potato. I think it was my best and most normal meal since surgery. It felt good to eat normally. Louise -21

wow that does sound good. I cannot have meat for another 2 weeks. I just had a pineapple smoothie someone else posted a few weeks ago. It was the best protein I have had. Use the tasteless whey protein (1 serving) 3/4 cup pineapple juice 1/2 cup cottage cheese Stir and sip or eat.
