I STINKING HATE THIS!!!

The worst part of this surgery for me? GETTING MY STINKING PERIOD! I have led a lifetime of annovulation from my PCOS and this is the most regular I have ever been and I have to say NOT DIGGING THE CRAMPS here! Especially since I can't take Ibuprophen....the only thing I use that stuff for.

I am having my first one also and it is terrible. I have never had cramps like this before!!! I have had my heating pad on all day and am miserable, this bites!!! `Nicole

I should get mine anytime now. I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT! I had it when I had surgery and on top of all that, they give me BLOOD THINNERS!!! YIKES!!! I'm 49 now. I don't need that stuff anyway!!!! I never dreamed I'd be wishing for menapause!!! Have you girls noticed a body temperature change? I wonder if that's hormonal from the surgery too. I used to burn up all the time, I even had a fan on my desk at work and now I'm freezing all the time!!!! Oh well, guess I'm loosing my inulation!!! 27 lb down!!!! bonnie

Yes I am freezing!!! I used to have the window cracked and the ceiling fan running in the winter, now I am freezing and it seems like I cant get warm. I am running straight ho****er in the tub when I take a bath and it only seems to be hot for about 5 mintues, before when I ran a really hot bath I couldnt even sit in there too long because I would be sweating!! ARRRRGGHHHH THE CRAMPS!!! I may need to take some of my leftover pain meds tonight to sleep!!! ~Nicole

Thanks Nicole! It's nice to know I'm not the only Polar Bear!!!! As far as the leftover Pain Meds go, I'd do what I had to in order to feel better. That's what PAIN medicine is for!!! I'll remember that when I get my "friend"!!

Bonnie, I'm cold all the time too. I was expecting it from reading the posts on WLS borads. I'm glad - I hated being hot all the time. I think its becasue we are not burning calories all the time.

I actually called my surgeon in tears and begged to be able to take Aleve for cramps. He told me that as long as I take it for less than a week he is fine with it. Call your doctor and tell them that you have cramps and want to take something to relax the muscles. My surgeon said that the worry is for long term use, but short periods of time are not an issue on the tummy. Least you can do is try! My periods changed drastically last year when I had my tubes tied during my second c-section. I'm considering going back on the pill JUST to make them easier to bear. They are awful now!!! I got mine the day i went in for surgery. Ohhhh that was really nice. So just think it could of been worse

I was just griping on another message board about how much more painful this period is! OMG I have also been on the heating pad all day. And talk about the river overflowing.. holy moly! This is also only the second period I have had since giving birth to my 8 month old. The first one back in Feb. This one is awful. Glad I am not alone in this!! Jamie
