Nasty subject warning: Poop Question

Dinka Doo - - or should we call you Stinka Doo?! Sorry - just my warped sense of humor... I'm am so constipated, my eyes are getting browner by the day. I go every 5 days or so, and it's like pooping large stones (thanks for the graphic visualization, Wendy!). I swear, I thought I pulled something in my stomach last week. So, I have bought some Colace, but I'm afraid of it (how dumb is that?!?). I KNOW I should be getting my water in, but I don't for one reason or another. As far as the smell - since I didn't have by-pass, it doesn't seem any better or worse since the surgery. I guess that's a good thing for my family! I have noticed that I am much LESS gassy. Of course that could simply be because I'm not eating much and the foods that I do eat are not gas-inducing. Take care, girl! -Wendy

Wendy, I've been having the same thing - going every 5-8 days. I asked my doc at my 1 month post-op and he said I should be going once every 2-3 days at the longest. If I don't, he wants me to use good ol MOM (Milk of Magnesia). mgm
