I'm a merchandiser which means that I go into stores like Wal-Mart and local grocery stores to order or straighten and keep an area. One year I did pool chemicals at Wal-Mart, that was fun. I have also taken care of photo frames at Rite Aid stores and did weekly product location surveys for Proctor and Gamble. I got to work in Target with the costume jewelry and Kohls in the designer bath and body stuff. I do a bit of mystery shopping too. I used to do lots of restaurants but well that's gotta be a thing of the past now! My DH and I would go into a restaurant and order dinner and evaluate the service and cleanliness of the place. I would then turn in a report and they'd send me a check for the cost of the dinner. I have mystery shopped everything from fast food to grocery stores and Petsmart. It was a lot of fun but I haven't been doing it much lately due in part to the surgery and then we're getting ready to move too. I miss working! I won't be doing any until we get moved and even then we have to basically build the house. The house shell is there now we hafta fill it! Oh! I almost forgot! My DH and I also have stuff for a space at swap meets and festivals. We mostly do this on weekends and haven't for a while, you know, surgery and all. Gayle Queen Of Yarn Balls 320/297/175

I'm a police dispatcher. Have been working at my current job for 12.5 years now and at it in general since 1988. I did take a little time inbetween the 2 jobs where I took what I called "My good brainless job." And that was working as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut. I loved not having the stress of thinking all the time and dealing with office politics. I hadn't ever held a job like that before, so it was a blast experiencing it. But alas, it didn't last long before I was back in an office, then back in dispatch again. I do like my job but it does get old with all the overtime and workload issues. As for sales, DH and I do eBay but haven't done much lately. We ran a website with collectibles for quite a while, and right now I'm just trying to decide if I want to load up the store again and try to sell something on there again or if I want to sell the store and domain name (it was/is www.retrostuff.com). I resist selling it as it was profitible and a fun name. DH has so many irons in the fire he doesn't really want to bother with it right now. Oh well, maybe one day we'll figure out what to do with it! Dina

I am a free lance Photographer. I started off as a make-up artist for Glamour Shots and crossed trained to photographer. From there i worked my way to assit manager of the store, then to managing a store for them. I went from managing a store to Photography manager training the photographers and sales staff. It was fun, and i loved it, but it was a demanding job. 6 days a week, sometimes 7, holiday hours were killers, and i never got to spend time with t he family. And the worst, food in the mall. Thanks to the mall food, i have a big butt. LMAO. I have been out on my own doing photography for 2 years now, and love working for myself. With summer coming i have weddings and senior photos to take. I have tons of portable backgrounds and a complete make up kit to do clients up if they want that sexy look for their man. If you would like to see some of my photos, click on the link. ANd there is even a pic of me on there, don't be scared!! LMAO http://community.webshots.com/user/tbgoddess

I am the Travel Manager for a member based travel dot com company. I have been in the travel biz for 8yrs now. I got my degree in travel from the International Travel University in Honolulu, HI. I also work from home as a second job as an outside travel agent for PR Travel out of Nashville. I love the travel idustry however it is becoming increasingly unstable so I am currently working on a Nursing Degree along with my 2-jobs. I graduate with my CNA in May and then go on for the RN. I am lucky that I have such a supportive DH becuse with 2 jobs and school we don't get to see each other as often as we would like.

Well, since you are into merchandising and retail it sounds, why not sell on eBay? It is hands down the easiest money I've ever made. One year working just part time my DH brought in $36k (and yes, it was reported on taxes!). Heck, in one week we had a blitz and did 400 auctions and brought in $4000. We aren't a huge business....all that matters is that you are focused on it and able to work steady. It's a great 'job'! Dina

Church Ministry Assistant That's the "fancy" title for church secretary. I publish our weekly newsletter and Sunday bulletin. Do some counseling - mostly the staff guys. All my staff have been very supportive of my WLS, except of course, one of the other secretaries, who is skinny. "Just don't eat." is her advice. Duh, why haven't all us fat people thought of that brilliant concept?!?!

I work in the Medical Billing field. I work as a scanner right now scanning all the reports, checks, mail and all sorts of stuff into the computer. I hope to move to the data entry department or the insurance department soon as I get back to work in 3 weeks....
