Pain under left breast????

I'm having really bad pain under my left breast. It started yesterday afternoon and it's 7:30AM and I still have it. It was difficult to sleep and even worse now I can't take a deep breath. I thought maybe it was some bad gas or something but now I don't know what it is. Any ideas?....anyone else had this issue?

Call you doctor! Could be nothing, could be something that needs immediate attention. Pain is an indicator that something needs attention. Call your doctor/surgeon and let them make the call as to what it may be or what you need to do. Good luck! Maureen

Nichole, I would also highly recomend calling your Dr. From what I understand your regular stomach that the pouch was carved from resides on the left side of your torso area, which would be under your left brest. The staples in the old stomach may be irritating something, and I would definetly get it checked out. Good luck, and let us know how you do. Leslie

My surgery was March 24 and 7 days later I started having severe pain under my left breast that went over to my side along my rib cage. I could not get comfortable and pain meds did not touch it. They believe mine was caused by a bruised diaphram. It lasted 5 days, being worse in the evening. It finally went away except for a few twinges and discomfort ever so often but nothing like it was. Hopefully yours will be something as simple as this. Debbie
