Kimmer???
I got an email from her last week and she said she hasn't been around the boards as much lately. Sounds like she is getting busy and having to also cope with that strained muscle in her abdomen. It sounds really painful - gotta say! Poor thing gets rid of the fibromyalgia only to have a doggoned muscle strain to keep her in pain.
She did say she reads when she can though. Hopefully she'll peek her head in....

Hey, gals!
I'm here! Actually, I haven't logged on in 2 days, and I'm amazed at all the phone calls (God bless you all for being so concerned!), so I figured I'd better check in so everyone will know I'm still alive!
Nope, I'm still kicking....a little. Just a series of goofy developments: that muscle I pulled is way bad (I pulled, then RE-pulled the muscle the surgeon poked thru with the laparoscope - YOWIE! But it's NOT a hernia, so that's the good part...). He put me at ABSOLUTE sedentary lifestyle for a few weeks, and 'secured' that with a hefty prescription of Lortab and muscle relaxers to be taken round the clock (instead of prn). Well, add that scenario to the 'fatigue wall' I'd hit already, and I've been sleeping/dozing about 80% of the day! I'll sit down, then wake up a couple of hours later. I feel like I'm wasting my time off that way! But the muscle IS getting better, so I guess it's working. I'll be returning to a 'manual labor' job when I go back to work in 1.5 weeks, so I HAVE to get this muscle thing under control. Not fun.
I'm still having a bit of a problem eating. I've been given the "go ahead" to eat anything I want, but I don't WANT anything. I just don't have an appetite or any 'cravings' right now. I never was much of an 'eater' pre-op, and I knew this would be a problem post-op. But I'm committed to the problem and am forcing myself to eat. I'm still getting that "pill stuck in the throat" feeling, but not quite as badly now. I'm doing alright, but add the lack of appetite to my 24-hour sleeping, and you can see how the problems are compounding!
I'm alright, gals. I'm 'lurking' alot more these days when I am on the board. It's actually kind of interesting watching the dynamics of the board versus being a part of them. At least for now...especially when my 'puter dumps about every third time I try to post...THAT's annoying in itself!
T'anx for the concern....I'm around! Just not as much. If anything arises, you'll be the first to know. With me, consider "no news is good news"!!
Now I'm exhausted...time for another nap! NOT!

Oh man, Kimmer, you have my sympathy. I ended up in the emergency room Friday night with the same thing. Not very pleasant. I had already pulled an abdominal muscle and then it started to spasm, pulling on all those internal stitches. I was in a world of pain. Then they gave me phenergen for the nausea caused by the pain and I had an allergic reaction and went into convulsions. They started pumping in benedryl and topped the whole ****tail off with with morphine. After I got out of the hospital Saturday morning, I spent most of the rest of the weekend in a deep, drug induced sleep.
Feel better soon.
