Can anyone tolerate sugar?

I have not tried sugar--I'm afraid I will NOT dump! Joy

I dont know, I dont want to know. Sugar got me here in the first place. As far as I am concerned, NO, I cant tolerate sugar, because it makes my BUTT break out in FAT. -Sherrie

I'm beginning to believe I didn't get the "dumping" option with my RNY...I requested it from my surgeon and I really wanted it, so to deter me, but I've had tastes here and there of sugar with no reaction! Alot of woman at the support group were wishing it on me, but nope or at least maybe not yet. I'm also diabetic and with some blood sugar lows, I've eaten up to 6 glucose tabs at once, with NO reaction. I had a bite of hershey kiss making the kids Easter baskets...nada one reaction. Who knows, maybe the pouch isn't fully healed and a month from now, it'll hit me. So far everything I've eaten has gone down smoothly. I just graduated to soft foods, so maybe the more in the pouch, things will change. Good luck, Wendy

I can tolerate sugar, which in a way makes me sad since I know that sugar (i.e. candy) is my major downfall. I actually wish in a way to have dumping, but so far it seems like its not going to happen.
