Strange News
Hi everyone. Here's a strange update for you and should be especially interesting to those of you who are struggling like me with slow weight loss. On Wednesday, I popped in at my regular doctor's office to weigh myself and noted I had lost 23 lbs. It was the 1 month anniversary of my surgery. I had my appointment with my surgeon later that afternoon and his scale confirmed a weight loss of 23 lbs. You all know how bummed I've been about this. Well, yesterday (Thursday), I had my regular follow-up appointment with my doctor, and had to weigh in with the nurse on his scale (the same one I weighed in on Wednesday). The scale showed a new weight loss of 6 lbs.!!! Over night!!! We double-checked it and the scale is working perfectly. Sooooo, the moral of this story is...losing weight after WLS is a strange and wonderful adventure. Don't sweat the fact that you are losing slowly! Our bodies are doing whatever they need to do to keep us well and healthy throughout this journey. The weight is coming off! Just think of how we'll be celebrating together in another 2 months!!!! I have officially lost 29 lbs. since surgery on 3/8. Just wanted to share with you.!! God bless and be well, Maureen
P.S. Isn't it wonderful how we all came together yesterday for Rob? Look how he is responding! Yahooooo!!!
