Baked Catfish

I love catfish and baked some the other night, everyone here loved it too!! I took a pound of catfish, put in a greased glass dish (cooking spray to grease it) sprinkled some chooped garlic on it, and then made a mixture (1/4 cup) of flour, paprika, and accent, and sprinkled that on top. used about a 1/4 cup melted butter and about a 1/8th cup Rhine wine,(any white wine will do) and baked till golden bubbly. It was yummy!!! The family said they liked it better then fried catfish!

Tanya - that sounds really yummy - esp. now since I'm only on pureed foods at this point. But I copied the recipe and put it in my files so when I start eating solids again I can try it. By the way - I'm trying to think where New London is. I'm down near Madison, but grew up in Stevens Point - it's got to be not too far from one of those. Gail

AWESOME fellow wisconsin sisters!! New london is in between Green Bay and Stevens Point. I used to live in Madison, i ran the Glamour SHots down there. (i am very sad that it is now closed! I designed that store and am sad my baby is closed.) And ohhh Plainfeild, Eddy Gein country! I used to party there as a teen, used to follow the country band Detour. I miss them days!!! My mom is a cooki n a supper club so me and her are always trying to come up with new things to make. I will try to keep new recipes posted as often as i can!!
