It is truly amazing to see that more people feel this sense of pity after this surgery, especially when losing very, very slowly. We all read about others losing so quickly and want to know why not me. Well it is really nice to know that I am not alone in this. WE HAVE TO BELIEVE it will work for us also. Good luck to all. marcy 3/16/04 down 15 in 2 weeks and recently put on 5 pound so actually down 10 in 3 ++ weeks.

Hang in there! If you gained, it has to be water retention--you are probably not drinking enough. There is no way you could gain fat at this point. It will work. I think we set unrealistic expectations for ourselves because we all tend to post when we lose alot but not when we don't. So people think "everyone" is losing 10 lbs per week. The truth is that most of us are not!!! We are marchers, not runners. Our course may be slow but it is sure. I'm losing about 2 lbs a week. That means most days the scales do not move down. But as long as I average that, I know I will reach the goal--that is 100 lbs a year!!!! Some weeks I may not lose at all. Some weeks I may lose more. It's the direction that counts. Joy

Marcy - I have only two words for you: "water retention!" Take care and you will see that scale move again really soon! Dina
