nauseau

I seem to be having nauseau alot here lately. Did anyone else have this? Pain is ok unless I am to active at this point. Only thing I seem to crave is a pretzel...AND I DONT EVEN LIKE THEM. I'm thankful that I have a very supportive family to help me with this.

What are you trying to eat/drink? Make sure you are drinking SLOWLY. Walk often, but not fast. Sometimes warm or room temp liquids settle better. Try hot tea perhaps (decaf). It will get better. Your pouch is not yet healed on the inside. Joy

Joy, I had horrible naseau for 7 days. I tried TUMS, Milk of Magnesia and everything I could think of but it would not go away. I was spitting into a cup about every 20-30 seconds. I would take pain over naseau anyday and so I feel your pain. Believe me I thought it would never go away. I promise just stick it out it will go away before you know it. Hang tough

hello- I just wanted to say that my first week to week and a half after surgury I was not hungry, I got nauseau when I needed to eat something. That has now gone away and I do have real hunger pains when I need to eat. I'm not sure if that is normal but mine did go away....my surgury date was 3/9/04. Hope this helps. Kristina

Hi Janice, I'm 2 weeks out. I started having nausea when I stopped my pain meds. The pain wasn't real bad, but the nausea was awful. My doctor suggested going back on the pain meds, only 1/2 dose for a while and then slowly cutting back. That helped my nausea a lot. Someone else suggested to me that if it was bad, I could get a prescription for anti-nausea medication from my doc. Good luck - it is no fun! Gail
