Back from Test

I posted on Connie's message that I was having an upper endoscopy today. My PCP insisted that I have this test due to the anemia. The doctor that did the test agreed with me before he did the test that he was sure the anemia was due to the WLS. That he has seen many patients with this issue. After the testing he told my husband he found nothing wrong. To contine taking my Fero-Sequel which is a slow acting Iron supplement. I have so far lost 20 lbs since my plastic surgery. I am not as happy with the surgery as I had hoped. He was not able to give me a flat mid-rif area under my breast. He said this was because of the way the blood vessels were in that area and I might want to consider liposuction later. That would be more $ and more time away from work. I do not think that will happen anytime soon. I am please with the way my belly button and below look. I do have an area that is having problems healing but the doctor warned me to that after surgery. He also made the lower incision as part of my upper leg so it does not look as obvious. When I figure out how...I will get some new pictures on here. Alton took a couple pics this week prior to going to the dr. I now weigh 175 and in 12-14 pants.

Hi Martha, It seems like this is "anemia week" on the March board. I haven't had any problems with anemia yet, but you can bet that I'm going to mention it to my PCP when I go in for my yearly physical this fall. I hope that your doc can get you back in balance soon. Take care. Mike

Martha, I have anemia too and I am only seeing a family Dr. That is how it goes here in Canada. She is running more test, but she too thinks it is not from the WLS, but everything I've read says it is very common with WLS. Keep me posted on what you find out and I will you. Rhen
