Gotta share this - I think it's sooo funny! My mom is still being quite the mother hen, checking up on me and all (she'll be 75 this week). Anyway, she stopped by just now to see how I was doing and wanted to know if she could take my winter coat to the cleaners for me. Well, I said why - she said so it could be cleaned and put away for the season - But mom - I'm NEVER going to wear it again!!!!! - I let her watch as I threw it in the garbage can. She turned red and said - oh yeah! I gave her a big hug for caring, and for the good laugh! I think this was funny - maybe ya gotta know my mom mgm

Around my house it works on the Trickle Down Effect. See I have this friend that had the surgery 15 months ago. She's sending me all her old big clothes. Then I had it on the 22nd. Right before my surgery my sister was here. She's big too and just learning about the surgery. We were sitting on my porch on one of those cool Southern California evenings and she was without a coat. Soooo, I went in the house and came out with the coat that my friend gave me. Mind you it's nicer than anything I have, and I GAVE it to her. My DH later asked why. I smiled sweetly and said "Honey, I won't be able to wear it again next year, and she might as well get some use outta it!" He stood there with the I'm-scratching-my-head look and said "That's right!" He wasn't so confused after that! Doesn't that feel just Oh So Good? Gayle Queen of Yarn Balls

I can totaly relate.I am only 4-days post-op and my mother is coming in from Tennessee today. Well we are expecting about a foot of snow here in Denver by tomorrow so I told her to expect snow. She is not happy about having to tote around a heavy coat on the plane so I told her not to bother bringing one as I will be giving her several to take home. I also told her to bring an extra suitcase so that she can go "shoping" in my closet as before the surgery we were the same size and as summer is comming I can get rid of most of my winter stuff and give it to my mom. I have a friend who lost a lot of weight after having her baby so she is saving those clothes for me. So pass it down, and pass it around!
