The Journey's Just Begun
My lap roux-n-y was completed on Monday, March 29th. I went in to surgery at 730 a.m. and was up walking that afternoon. I couldn't believe it, especially since I've never had surgery before in my life.
So far, so good... I'm now 4 days post op and have had no nausea, vomiting, etc.
A friend called me yesterday and asked if I noticed a difference yet. Do people really notice a difference that quickly?

Maybe not THAT quickly but we do notice differences fast. My wedding band has always been so tight that my skin is pushed into the back in the exact shape of the ring so it won't turn or anything and leaves these deep furrows.
The other day I noticed my ring kept turning and it was so very odd that I yanked on it to take it off. SURPRISE! No 'yanking' was required. Now mind you there's still a furrow it's just no where near as deep as before! I really got to looking then and while chubby my fingers no longer look like stuffed sausage ready to pop. It was such a wonderful feeling that I had to get my hubby to look.
He took the ring off pre-op for me and when I asked him to take it off again he thought he'd hafta get some oil or something. NOPE!
