Pulled That One Foot Outta the Grave!

LUCY, I'm Home!!!!!! Well after an exhausting 11 day hospital stay (6 days in ICU) I am home and oh so happy........I'll have to be honest and say right now that I will not give my opinion as to weather anyone should have this surgery. Give me a few months and I'll be an advocate I'm sure. But after what I've just went through I'm just glad to be alive loosing or not. I know that my angels posted for me to let you all know how I was doing. I can't thank them enough for the cards and plants and balloons and prayers. When I went in on March 22, the main plain was to come home on March 25th. Due to a leak in a staple that malfunctioned I had a second surgery within 24 hours. It was a close call. I will be giving all the details on my page today as I am able sit up for a while. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers I know that helped! Kellie the bar keep 12 days post op. Gee Kellie! I think you have a terrific attitude for what you have been through. I know you are so glad to be home. Pamper yourself for a while and rest up. You have had a delay at the starting gate, but things should get a lot better from here! Joy

Kellie, I just read your journal of your experience and I just feel so badly for you....those first nurses probably just thought you were being a big baby with pain and were so insensitive.....the truly good nurses would have recognized a special situation....so sorry you had to go through that....you were wise to call your surgeon's office and get the help you needed, and what an excellent example you are to others. So glad you are back home now and will be getting well and enjoying the benefits.
