Postop dr visit

The best news: After a month of aggravation and irritation I got my G-TUBE OUT!!!! Good riddance! Also, the dr's scales verified my 25 lbs weight loss. They said I could expect to lose about half that much next month. Since my goal loss is 100 lbs, I am already 25% there! That is better than I dared to hope. I would be interested in seeing how other "Lightweights" are doing. Our progress will follow a different pattern than those with larger loss goals, and it is important to recognize our progress toward our individual goals. It is so easy to get discouraged. One other milestone this week... A person who did not know about my surgery commented on my weight loss! That external validation is very reassuring. Take it from a Canary... "This surgery works!" My goal too is 100#. I am 2 weeks today and have lost 12 lbs.. I am hoping for 20-35 this first mos. I am glad uare doing so well...Terry in Grand Rapids, MI

My goal is 80 lbs and I think I have lost about 18 so far in 16 days.

I to am a light weight and have only lost 14 pounds in 14 days.

Joy - your weight loss is fabulous and you're doing just great! I'm 3 weeks out and have only lost 17 lbs and I have close to over 150 to lose. So take that for what it's worth- you're doing brilliantly fantastic! Dina

Congratulations Joy! I too am a lightweight, but I won't know what my loss is until I visit the Dr. next week. Keep up the great work. Already 1/4 of the way there...that's fantastic! Cheryl
