Well, I am now 9 days pos...

Well, I am now 9 days post op and doing very well. I hope to be returning to work the week of April 5, 2004. I ended up having my procedure done open as opposed to laparoscopically, but that's okay too. No problems with food thus far. Haven't had a whole lot of nausea (just the first few days after coming home). Managing to find things that fit the pureed diet pretty well. Thanks for everyone's prayers and concerns.

Renee - glad to hear you are doing so good. I was done open also but I'm not scheduled to go back to wor****il May. I know you probably feel really good right now, but I have heard a lot of folks who rushed back to work and regretted it later. It's something I hope you don't get locked into if you rush to go back so quickly. I know I feel really pretty good right now, but episodes with my little friend (aka: Double shot) make me think differently. Today I have had a couple of pangs in the little guy to remind me that even though I chew chew chew, sometimes things can give you little fits. That and dumping when you least expect it can be a problem. I was doing fine with cream of wheat until this week I had some and I dumped. Go figure. It was the 2nd half of a serving I made the day prior. Dina

Hi Renee, Welcome back! I haven't gotten to the pureed food yet. Hoping to move to that stage tomorrow after I see the doctor. I am bored being at home, and hope to go back to work part time next week. I don't want to pu**** so I am hoping that Dr S will sign off on my working half days at least 3 days next week. I am scheduled to go back the 12th, but I am not sure even then if I will be ready to work full days. Hugs, Mo doin' a happier happy Mo post op dance every day
