-15 2 weeks but infection sends me back to surgeon today

hi everyone--incision infection sends me to get incision opened and packed--ouch--now sore again and on antibiotic--the opening is big and a nurse has to come everday to repack it--back to surgeon next wednesday to be checked!

I'm so sorry you are having trouble. I hope it clears up with the antibiotics quickly. Be sure and get in your protein--it speeds up healing. Joy

Oh ouch Kerry! I'm so sorry you had that happen. I was open too and am just thankful I haven't had an infection. I'm 3 weeks out and my staple holes are starting to close up so hopefully I'll avoid that. I hope you heal up very quickly! Dina

I'm so sorry that you are also going through the packing the wound bit. I had surgery on 3/16 and when the surgeon removed my staples on Tuesday, my wound reopened. In fact, I'm waiting on the home health nurse to show up this morning, still... I don't have an infection, so don't have to take the antibiotics but it is still sore and gross looking.
