Craving Pizza and eggs and bacon w/ toast, wierd. Not at same time.
Hi marchers
I will be able to have per my doctor, eggs and toast this Friday, when can we have bacon? I would love to go to Dennys and have their hashbrowns, is that considered soft foods? It is very thin, and I have another craving, I want a thin pepporni pizza from Pizza Hut, I just want a bite, when do you think we can have that? Have any of you, have any of the above food yet?
Thanks
I had a few tiny bites of a thin crust cheese store-brand pizza I made for my daughter the other night. I am 3 weeks out. Since I just took a few tiny bites and chewed thoroughly I was OK with it. The big thing is that I don't want to get into bad habits. It was something I was craving, and yes, it tasted good and I didn't have a problem with it. However, I'm not going to make a habit of having foods I shouldn't. I am still doing better with pureed and very soft foods. I think bacon would be too fatty to try, unless you find a turkey bacon or something like that.
Good Luck!

DEAR TORI, I MEAN THIS IS THE MOST LOVING WAY....ARE YOU CRAZY??? EGGS OK, HAVE THEM, ENJOY THEM THEY'RE A GREAT SORCE OF PROTEIN AND YOU'LL EAT THEM ALOT BECUASE THEY'RE WHAT I CALL A SAFE FOOD. BUT PIZZA??? AND HASHBROWNS??? yOU MAY BE ABLE TO GET THEM DOWN BUT KEEPING THEM DOWN WOULD SURPRISE ME. LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. CHATTY.
Eggs are great and I see nothing wrong with hashbrowns as they are no worse than having mashed potatoes IMO. As long as you can tolerate other veggies, there should be no reason why hash browns are a problem as long as they aren't dripping in grease. Most hashbrowns I've had (at least in restaurants) are pretty doggone dry.
Pizza sounds bad, but I think if done correctly one could have it safely. Thin crispy crust with light cheese and low fat meats shouldn't be any worse than having a half a sandwich. It just depends on how these things are prepared and consumed.
