Hi Everyone! Long time no post!
I am more than sure that most of you won't know who the heck I am but I used to frequent this board back in the probably going to mexico phase of surgery planning! I recognize 5 or 6 people here still~~That's great! I was blessed with a pregnancy 10 months post op after 10 years of infertility and miscarriage. I have a wonderful 10 mos old baby girl now! All because of my wls. I got to 142 before preg--and have been 159 since a week after her birth. I want to get back to the 142 at least but it is very hard. If ya don't mind I am going to lurk around a little to figure out if ya'll have some of the food issues I have and how everyone is doing. Hope all is well with every one--Good luck to all opf those plastics patients!~~~July
Hi July and welcome HOME! I don't remember you but I was very shy when I was the new kid on the block - can't believe we're all approaching our 2.5 year post-op mark. I think you will discover that we are all in various stages of dealing with food issues once again after having enjoyed such a long period of time of not being hungry, or getting violently sick if we ate something questionable. For me, my secret weapon is simply MOVEMENT. Even though I find myself grazing on non-legal food items more than I care to admit, I try very hard to stick to my work out program...more for my head than for anything else. Otherwise, I'm in a constant state of fighting depression and apathy because of life issues that simply don't seem to be able to get resolved. I feel like I'm at the beginning of the journey because I keep discovering life in all it's horrible and wonderful manifestations. Stick around, we need you as much as you need us. Take care, Maureen
Food issues..........left me think. I was eating constantly. I got down to 143 and looked aneroxic. Plus I got a lower GI Bleen so we thought I needed to gain some wait. My main stay of illegal foods were pretzels, Cheetoos and chocolate.
I had plastic surgery from my breastbone down to the public area. They took off 11 lbs. When I weighed on the scales, I had hoped I had lost more weight. Especially since he took off the panni area and I thought that would be a good 20 lbs. But did not. But since I have been home and wearing those binders and corsets, they are so tight, I do not feel like I have room to eat much. Food is to a minimum and so far I have lost another 5 lbs. I hope the habits I am recreating while on medical leave will continue when I go back to work. I know I am stepping on the scales each monring and am now excited when they go down again.
Hi
I don't remember you either, but, welcome back & we are glad to have you here. I
would die to be 159 in never made it below 200 & am now 235 so would certainly
like to have your numbers. If the picture on the screen in pretty current you look
great & if you start thanking lucky starts for getting you where you are & be happy with
the results I bet your weight will start going down again. The scale can get our heads
pretty weird sometimes. They are just numbers you need to look at what & how you can do things now that you could not do when you were heavy. Congrats on your baby
& be thankful that you can see the child grow up now & work with that & see how your
weight does. I think you will see a change.
Nice to see you back

July, how are you doing? I'm trying to get as many Marchers 2004 folks as possible to post a four-year anniversary update. Listen, those of us still active on the board are all struggling and we need each other to figure out how to keep this weight off! Please post and let us know how you're doing. Hope to hear from you soon. Maureen
