Hello my lovelies! I am happy and excited to report that my surgery went very well on Monday afternoon (it didn't get started until 3 PM), and I was discharged last night at 6:30 PM. I feel fine -- just sore -- like I've been doing hundreds of crunches. Thank God for the binder! I do have one drain, but it will be removed when I see Dr. Gupta on Monday for my first post-op visit. I weighed myself on one of my walks yesterday, and I'm only up 4 lbs. I had actually lost 3 lbs between my nutrition class on 3/9 (281) and Monday afternoon (278). I weighed 282 early yesterday afternoon. I'm not hungry at all. I'm just sipping on my protein drink (1 oz. every 15 minutes) all day, and Junior is tolerating it well. Just a very small grumble is all I've heard from him. I took a copy of the anesthesia record from my last surgery (4 yrs ago), and the anesthesiologist said she would use a variation of it. Well, whatever she used was wonderful -- I didn't get sick at all!!! Thank God for small favors -- I've had an NG tube before, and it was no picnic getting that thing in. Anyway, that's the scoop. It's good to be home, but I was treated like royalty on the bariatric unit, so I have no complaints. Take care everyone, and have a blessed day! Hugs, -Marcie

HI Marcie! I am so glad you are home. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be a better angel for you. I did try to call the hospital a couple of times and your cell phone also. I left messages both at the hospital and on your cell phone but didn't get a return call. I should have called back again but I was busy sleeping, or trying to anyway. I wish I could have gotten ahold of you though. I was praying for you all this time though and I am so glad that your surgery went well!!!! I will try to call you in the next day or two. God Bless!
