LaRhonda,
I knew that there would be pain, and believe me while I didnt have screaming pain (I think I have a high threashold for pain), I was seriously uncomfortable. Now 9 days out, I am finally feeling pretty good. I am well past the "OMG who the hell thought this was a good idea" stage, but I haven't quite embraced the "Hell yea, I would do it again in a heart beat" stage yet.
I have seen a lot of Marchers post how much pain they are in, or how unhappy they are, as well as the more positive comments. This surgery affects everyone differently.
You are only 5 days out, give it more time. Your body has had a major trauma and needs to heal.
Hugs,
Mo
doin' a happier happy Mo post op dance as each day passes

Hi La Rhonda,
I said exactly the same thing when I came back to post after surgery! I was saying that I'd kind of wished that Carnie's books and the several others that I'd read had touched more on what it would REALLY be like newly post-op. But then I said, maybe it's better that they didn't?
I think I still would have gone through with the surgery, but I think I probably would have been more anxious - and that could have been detrimental.
But excellent point. You're not alone in feeling that.
