I'm Itching around the staple wholes

Since I have never had surgery I am not sure what I can put on my surery site since the staples have been removed the relieve the itching. What have you used?

Itching is a sure sign of healing!! so it's good news that you're itching so badly... Not sure what is safe for you to use. I hope you get some relief soon... Poor Itchy Sugarplum...

In the same boat with you Martha - I'm just using Vitamin E for now, then when all scabs are gone, I'll use Mederma... Dina

Also in the itch stage - I've been using hand lotion w/vitamin E to keep the skin around the incisions from getting dry. mgm

Benedryl has a cream and if that fails the pills work, they just make you sleepy. They also have a liquid but it would gag even the strongest tummy. It really does work though. Gayle Queen of Yarn Balls
